Practical Nursing FAQ's

The approximate cost of the program is $7700 (tuition, fees, required course materials and state licensure/NCLEX-PN testing included). Please refer to the 天堂社区 website for the current tuition rates and fees.

Full-Time Program: The majority of the course work is done face to face Monday - Thursday, with some Fridays as well. There are some components that are completed online.


颅Part-Time Program: The program is designed to be in-person lab or clinical all-day Wednesday with hybrid theory courses on Thursday evenings. In the final quarter of the program, the schedule is in-person all day Wednesday and Thursday. 

颅Full-Time Program: This varies by quarter and clinical rotation; however, the typical full-time nursing program student is in lab or clinical Mondays and Tuesdays, in theory on Wednesdays and Thursdays and in simulation on 1-2 Fridays per quarter. Clinical rotations vary by site and can be day shift or evening shift, and on rare occasion, there is a weekend component to clinical.

颅Full-Time Program: The full-time program takes 3 quarters to complete. The program starts in Fall and concludes in Spring.

Part-Time Program: The part-time program takes 6 quarters to complete. The program starts in Spring and concludes in Summer. This program does run in the summer quarters.

Full-Time Program: The full-time program admits up to 40 students each Fall.

Part-Time Program: The part-time program admits up to 24 students each Spring.

The program completes clinicals at long-term care facilities, clinics, schools, specialized residential facilities, corrections centers, hospitals and more. The majority of clinical placements occur within a 50-mile radius of the college, however on a rare occasion for specialty placements, students may be required to travel up to 70 miles.

颅Full-Time Program: We do not encourage students to work during this program, as it is very time intensive.

Part-Time Program: The part-time program is designed to allow you to work part-time while completing the program. This program is still time intensive, and we do not encourage students to work full-time while trying to complete this program.

Yes, the GRC Practical Nursing program satisfies the requirements for most bridge programs both in and out of state. Our pre-requisites also align with both Associate Degree Nursing programs as well as Bachelors Nursing programs to help facilitate seamless transition.

We waitlist up to 10 students each application cycle. Those waitlisted are required to attend the mandatory orientation, however this does not guarantee program placement. Students will be notified of their status on the waitlist via the email they use in their application, we will request a response within 24 hours.
